Lose Weight with NLP focuses on changing your relationship with food aiming to give you back control so you can lose weight and keep it off. Lindsey demonstrates how simple and effective NLP strategies and excercises can lead you to becoming motivated in succeeding your goal.Useful may be her way of identifying people’s different ‘eating’ strategies (e.g. Emotional Eaters, Big Eaters, People Pleasers, Addictive Eaters, Lazy Eaters and Control-Freak Eaters). The author aims to help you develop a positive mindset, encouraging awareness around good eating habits and provides motivational strategies to start and maintain your personal goals for ‘moving’ more. Though the author is not trained in the nutrition field, her recommendations are quite solid, and follow uptodate and basic advice that is easy to implement. Currently, there are not many books of this kind around, so it may be a helpful introductory tool for any practicing nutritional therapists seeking to become more effective coaches in clinical practice. Remember, it mostly starts in the mind! Being motivated for change will be the first step. How to maintain healthy motivation for sustainable change in your eating and lifestyle habits long-term will be the key to your success.
